Classes

Tyler Adventist School believes that high academic standards are essential for an education that will help prepare our children for life in an increasingly complex world.  We are committed to providing the best teaching tools and the most effective methods to enrich the lives of the students who attend our school. Teaching methods are differentiated to meet the needs of each student's individual learning style.

Regular classroom instruction is offered in the following subjects:  Bible, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, and physical education. Laptops are available for use in technology education and for practice in various subjects.  Many of the textbooks are also available online.

Effort is made to utilize the particular skills of the classroom teachers in enhancing the existing curriculum.

OUR TEACHING STAFF

All of our teachers are very qualified to teach. They have taught both elementary grades and classes at the high school level. Most of all, they have a strong relationship with Jesus and are ready to share his love with the children in their care.

MRS. REBECCA RUNNALS - PRINCIPAL AND GRADES 7-8

Mrs. Runnals has taught many grade levels with over 10 years in Seventh-day Adventist Christian Education. She also has 6 years of experience as principal.

Mrs. Runnals completed her Bachelors degree in Accounting in 2008, but felt God calling her to teach in 2012 and has followed His call. Mrs. Runnals' leadership skills and passion for leading students to a deeper relationship with Jesus are a great asset to our school.

MRS. AMY MINETT - GRADES 4-6

Mrs. Minett has taught in public schools since receiving her teaching degree in 2019. God called her to teaching after she homeschooled her own four children and spent some time substitute teaching in her local Adventist school.

Ms. Amy is excited to finally be able to teach in an Adventist school where she can share her love of God with her students in a more tangible way each day.

Tyler Adventist School is proud to have Mrs. Aribelle on our teaching team.  Her clear devotion to her students is only surpassed by her joyful love for Jesus, which she shares with them, not just in Bible class, but in daily worship, music, and in all school subjects.
